Every February and July, community events are held across the province to help introduce new anglers to fishing. These events are planned and delivered by local community groups and volunteers in response to an overwhelming volume of people who expressed interest in fishing, but do not know how to get started. Ontario Family Fishing Events provide great opportunities to introduce a friend to fishing without the requirement of licensing.

Since these events are locally driven, many events are held across the province without our knowledge; however, all registered events are posted in the Ontario Family Fishing Event Listings.
